Curious companions. We took this photo at dusk, when the nocturnal Armadillos make their appearance. The Turkey Vultures on Avery Island seem to make many good meals out of dead armadillos, but haven't the least interest in the live ones. We have a lot of Turkey Vultures on the Island, and they make an important contribution towards keeping the environment clean.
