The Tricolored Heron used to be called the Louisiana Heron. These birds have mostly gray feathers, except for a white breast, rust colored neck, and a white stripe up their neck. They eat fish, crustaceans, reptiles and small insects, and wade in shallow or deep water when stalking their prey.
